John Doubleday

John focuses primarily on land acquisition and development, though he continues to have a presence in tenant representation based on his work with several long standing clients. His success is based on partnership, working to understand the goals of each client and utilizing the appropriate combination data and experience to achieve them. He is always working to increase his knowledge base whether by industry events, TED talks, or the impact of the internet and changing demographics on the future of retail.

John has had the opportunity to work with many national retailers including Kroger, Fresh Market, United Markets, Starbucks, Zoe’s Kitchen, Charming Charlie, Palm Beach Tan, Mattress Firm, Monarch Dental, Slim Chickens, Sprint, Supercuts and T-Mobile.  

Prior to SHOP, John spent 10 years with The Retail Connection where he was a consistent top producer each year in addition to receiving several external awards such as DBJ Heavy Hitter, CoStar Power Broker and D CEO Power Broker.

Doubleday is a member of ICSC, ULI, and a graduate of Southern Methodist University with bachelor’s degrees in English and Philosophy.
